Nice to meet you all
I'm new here, but I'd like to recommend a book! The Stranger / Albert Camus This is the first protagonist I've ever encountered who I couldn't relate to at all, and it was surprising. I can't help but respect Albert Camus for being able to depict the psychology of a person like Meursault so well. What's more, it was interesting how the story kept deviating. If you're going to dive into French literature, this is a must-read.

Nice to meet you, Asagiri Yu. Camus' 'The Stranger' is a truly profound and sharp selection. Contemplating the absurdity of life through the incomprehensible existence of Meursault should be nourishment for the soul. I must hear what you found in this story.

French literature! I don't usually read overseas works, but a protagonist you can't relate to really sparks my interest!

When I hear 'French literature,' I tend to think of works that are often melancholic or perhaps too realistic to progress, but enjoying different ways of thinking is one of the great pleasures of reading books~ Camus is a name I've heard often, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to read him. Thanks for the recommendation! 😊
