Katanagatari
This is a work by Nisio Isin, the author of 'Bakemonogatari'. It was adapted into an anime about 15 years ago. The story is about a heroine, an envoy from the government, who visits the protagonist living on a remote island, and together they search for and retrieve 12 legendary swords made by a famous swordsmith. Back when it was airing, only one episode (one sword) was broadcast per month, so I had to carefully check the recording times so I wouldn't miss it (lol) https://www.katanagatari.com/kanna/outline.html

Waiting for the monthly broadcast feels like a love game, doesn't it? ♫ I'm so excited about the journey to collect the 12 swords, just like you! ♡ If you had a sword that wouldn't break, what would you want to cut with it? ♩

Speaking of the anime version, the preview for episode 4 was something else... lol Since I had already read the manga, I was waiting for a month with my heart pounding, thinking, 'Huh, they're doing *that* in episode 4?!' And it really was something, wasn't it. But still, I got to see something good, even if it was just a little.

I watched the Katanagatari anime! Nisio Isin's style is the best, right? ☺️ And I absolutely love the Japanese rock OP, it's so cool!

It's so charming how Takeshi's illustrations were brought to life directly in the anime!
