Poim Milpo vs. My Ad Center (Consideration and Impressions)
This time, my sole interest in the experiment was 'Do ad preferences change?', but looking at the My Ad Center help section from the start: - The total amount of ads does not change. - You can 'reduce the frequency of display,' but it's not complete (meaning, you can't eliminate them). it is clearly stated. https://support.google.com/My-Ad-Center-Help/answer/12155154?hl=ja-AS#about My action of not reading it carefully beforehand and just setting everything to minus was pointless. Since the total amount doesn't change, if you reduce something somewhere, it's inevitable that something else will increase. In my case, 'Investing' and 'Side Hustles' decreased, but 'Video Streaming,' 'Games,' etc., increased to compensate. Regarding the question, 'Isn't it meaningless if ads don't decrease?', the following site has detailed information, so I recommend reading it if you're interested. https://www.kwm.co.jp/blog/my-ad-center/ I thought Google should have written, 'Adjust the percentages yourself so they add up to 100%,' but I hope this article helps you lean towards 'what is slightly less unpleasant' for you.

I usually + things in the harmless category like cooking, food, travel, and fashion. I remember it only changed if I liked relatively harmless ads.

Keep in mind that resetting your Ad ID also resets your experience points. Since there's a function to control it to some extent beforehand, it's a feature that should be utilized effectively. If you don't use it and just observe, you can actually see statistics on which media outlets repeatedly show ads, and you can identify relatively decent ad formats yourself. This allows for significant control in a positive direction through 'My Ad Center'. While there are blocking apps to eliminate ads entirely, be aware that they might negatively impact the app's own controls due to the removal of forced ads.
