You can totally play without spending money. You can even get the event-limited stuff. Best of all, it's easy to play with the premise of defeating the patient's virus. Unlike other similar games, it's much easier to play after some adjustments. I've played about 10 similar games for a while, and this is the only one left in the end.

Filtering out the unnecessary and leaving just one in the end. That's not a bad judgment call. If you can achieve your goal without forcing yourself to spend money, that can be considered efficient.
