The Endless Scarlet
I watched it on Hulu today, so let's talk about it right away. I'll be careful not to include any spoilers. Honestly, I didn't have much prior information, only knowing who voiced Scarlet, so I was first taken aback by the world-building. I started thinking a lot, wondering if this is the kind of image Mamoru Hosoda has in mind. Anyway, Princess Scarlet was originally an ordinary girl, kind of... or maybe just normal, or perhaps a bit too soft-hearted, I don't know. And Sei felt very modern, so I was like, 'Ah, I see.' (lol) There were songs and dances, and I watched it with great interest. I thought it might be a coming-of-age story for Scarlet, but I wonder? In the end, I felt it was a bit different from just growing up. Well, I think whatever the viewer feels is the correct interpretation, so that's just how I felt. And somehow, I ended up crying a little at the end. It wasn't exactly 'moving,' but more like being overwhelmed by emotions... perhaps? Yeah, maybe my heart was stirred. Personally, it was a work I'm glad I watched. Sorry if this text is confusing because I'm trying to avoid spoilers. Thank you if you read this.

You watched 'Endless Scarlet'! I totally get wondering if it's a coming-of-age story while watching. Works that give you a heart-shaking experience are precious, aren't they? ♩
