Marin and Meran

It's quite an old and niche title, but... Honestly, it's a masterpiece! And, it's a happy ending, for what it's worth! I don't know anyone who finished this work and said, "It wasn't that great!" There are some risque scenes (though they're blurred since it's for kids), and there's cruelty. I honestly don't agree with the genre being "Heartful" on streaming sites. I think it should be "Heartful Bocco" (a pun on 'heartful' and 'beating up'). Towards the latter half, the situation gets increasingly serious, asking what exactly did the protagonist Marin-chan and Meran do... It vividly depicts the ugly and strong sides of humanity amidst a fictional global catastrophe. But even so, what's beautiful is the way they care for each other. Marin and Meran are just so cute and precious, I want them to be happy... At the end. What kind of conclusion they reach, what they choose. It's up to each viewer's interpretation... but I want to believe they didn't part ways... ...Oh, and Meran is voiced by Yoshitada Otsuka! Yoshitada Otsuka, who has the mental age of 17... that's a rare gem! (lol)
