Yamagata Prefecture's Imoni Festival

Today seems to be the day, and I'm cheering on my acquaintance who's involved! ✨ I bet it'll be on the news, so do you all know about it? 😊 It's an event where they make Imoni (a taro and meat stew) using a brand new excavator and a giant pot. It doesn't look like clear skies, but I wonder if it's not raining *just* yet? 🤔 I hope it doesn't turn into a downpour and that it can continue until the end! Do you guys have any unique local events in your areas? I'm from the Kanto region, and we don't really have much like that... Let me know if you have anything like this where you are! 😊
