Wato's Episode!

For those who read my last post, you'll know about Watson, the former stray cat my mother had when she was a child! (Nickname: Wato. This is the only photo I have, so I used it again. Sorry!) This Wato had a clingy side (most cats do, right?). When lonely, he would apparently cry "Fuu, nyaa" continuously. I'm not sure where the "Fuu" sound came from... So, Wato would start moving after everyone else had gone to sleep at night... This caused trouble in the winter... Wato was smart enough to open sliding doors by himself. And he'd go exploring everyone's sleeping spots. For some reason, my mother would wake up to the sound of Wato's "Totto-totto-totto" footsteps. But it was still the middle of the night, and just as she was trying to fall back asleep, Wato would suddenly press his nose against her cheek. In winter, she'd exclaim "So cold!" and be completely awake. When she opened up the futon saying "Wanna come in?", Wato would jump right in. Apart from the nose-nuzzling... I'm jealous! Then came the morning. My mother's alarm clock wasn't a bell, but a cat's meow. "Nya-nya-nya-nyaaan!" Wato would bolt away at the sound. Seeing this, my mother could only laugh.
