Ads that make you misclick by displaying the skip button faintly clearly fall under this. Also, ads that place a large 'x' button in the top right corner of the ad display screen, which then takes you to the ad page when pressed, also completely fall under this. The reason they want to send you to the provided page is the desire to profit from driving downloads from there, or there's even a possibility of profit just by landing on the page. Dark patterns themselves are being discussed by the government as a target for regulation. If you encounter such an ad, it's recommended to take a screenshot and report it to organizations like JARO. Most people will probably find it troublesome, and that's fine. As a countermeasure, I suggest task killing without pressing the skip button. The recent trend in ads is that if you skip them normally, viewers are highly likely to automatically evaluate it as correct. Ads terminated via task kill are more likely to be evaluated as 'displayed but rejected.' In fact, after playing a mini-game ad thoroughly, only that ad kept appearing. For unpleasant ads, report them or task kill them; I think this will lead to improvement.
