There are many videos on YouTube about the Awakened Thousand-Mile Journey, so you'll just have to refer to them. If the enemy is susceptible to knockback, it might be a method to win regardless of your gear.

Since it's end-game content that heavily relies on gear, it's difficult to bypass equipment requirements. However, it would be nice to have at least one weapon that can output decent overall firepower (even if it's not the latest meta weapon like the current gunblade, something like the Sword of Rotos would work), and ideally, a support weapon like Keki to complement it. If you have a damage dealer and a support unit preceding them, the other two can largely compensate with the High Priest's Encore. It requires active control and consumes a lot of MP, so you'll need to manage supplies with pots.
