Pure Water Doesn't Conduct Electricity!?
You all probably know that water conducts electricity well... but actually, even though it's water, pure water doesn't conduct electricity! So why does the water we use at home conduct electricity? It's because everyday tap water and river water conduct electricity due to dissolved "electrolytes (minerals)" like calcium and magnesium. Pure water can have negative effects on the body if consumed excessively, so such considerations are made, but this is what causes it to conduct electricity~

The relationship between pure water and electrolytes, exactly! The mechanism where impurities act as ions to conduct electricity is fascinating. I'm always impressed by Rafa's sharp observation skills, ho.
