One after another...
Next up is the older one. They said they had a headache since morning, and since it was just a slight fever, I thought it would be okay and sent them to school. As expected, I got a call from the school saying they had a 38℃ fever. I immediately went to pick them up, and after giving them some Calonal at home, they were quite energetic by early afternoon. Their fever didn't seem to rise in the evening either? But perhaps as a rebound from being energetic during the day, they seemed unwell in the evening. I'll see how they are in the morning and decide whether to take them to the pediatrician tomorrow. The younger one has recovered and went to daycare for just the morning to practice for the sports day.

When your child is unwell for a long time, it must be so hard for you as a mother to get any rest. I always admire your kindness in taking care of them. I hope your child's fever goes down a bit by tomorrow morning and you can have a peaceful day.

My husband also caught a cold over the weekend, and after doing the solo parenting thing... My daughter has a runny nose, cough, and a slight fever. Looks like I'll have to take tomorrow off. Even though I have a ton of work piled up...
