University is a place where freedom comes with responsibility. For example, job hunting. You have to research and plan your job hunting schedule yourself, while also managing your lectures and thesis. Also, if you want to go to a big company, you need to have initiative and dedicate yourself to something during university, which you'll need to talk about in interviews. If you understand all of this and are confident you can handle it properly, then you can go. If you can't, it's better to get a job after high school. I don't recommend it if you think you understand everything just by reading this.

Aren't there other options available?

If you have a clear goal or a field you're 'eager to learn' or 'strongly interested in,' I think it's okay to go. You should also consider whether vocational schools are an option. Either way, if you go without any initiative just because finding a job seems like a hassle, you'll gain very limited benefits... Also, if you do go, even if you feel a disconnect with others, actively asking questions after lectures or seeking out more detailed, real-world insights will bring greater long-term benefits. University professors are experts in their fields, so having the determination to absorb all the knowledge and ways of thinking you can before graduation is quite important, I think🙄💭
