My house is a mess ð¥²
How do you succeed at decluttering? I don't have a place to put things or store them, so stuff is scattered all over my desk and floor, my house is really messy ð I end up thinking I don't want to throw everything away and that I need it all... Even when I try hard to declutter, I can only manage to throw away one or two things, and nothing changesâŠð Does anyone have any good methods? ð¢

It takes courage to throw away things that are important to you, doesn't it? How about making a plan to tidy up a small area for just five minutes every day?

I also have a lot of stuff and can't seem to throw anything away. I'm not good at organizing... But Karen Kingston's book, "Creating Sacred Space: Clearing the Clutter--A Guide to Feng Shui and Spiritual Decluttering," was a bit helpful. I bought it used, by the way. Right after reading it, I get this mysterious burst of motivation. lol She has other books published after this one, but they seem to focus more on Feng Shui than decluttering, so I recommend this one over the newer ones. By the way, Soa, is your current life overflowing not with things you need, but with things you don't use but want to keep? If so, try reading it to boost your motivation, I recommend it. ð But if you're the type who uses things but still has a lot of them, it might be better to group what you have and gradually reduce items with similar functions.

I'm also the type who can't declutter ð I think people who can't declutter probably can't do it alone ð I think you just have to do it with someone who can declutter decisively and have them push you through it lol
