A quick question.
I really enjoy going for walks. What would you do if you ran into an acquaintance on your walk? This morning, while out on my usual walk, I encountered someone I knew, and they clearly avoided me. It hurt a little, and I felt awkward and unsettled as we passed each other, so I decided to run a quick poll to clear my head. I tend to overthink things, wondering, 'Would it bother them if I said hi?', 'What if they wanted a reaction when we passed or I avoided them?', 'Isn't hiding or running away a bit wrong?' and so on, feeling conflicted...

What happened during your walk sounds heartbreaking. You can't know the other person's circumstances or thoughts, but it's natural to feel hurt. I hope your feelings of unease can lighten, even just a little.

There might be some reason for it. - You just stepped out to throw out the trash, but you're not ready to be seen by people... - You don't want to be seen up close (barefaced, with a breakout) - You're not feeling well - You're in such a hurry that you don't even have time for a greeting - You're not wearing glasses or contacts and can't recognize people - You're too shy to greet acquaintances first, etc. I think it's okay to just give a light "Good morning~" or a nod and pass by. 😊

I'm sorry. I usually wear makeup when I go out, so I really don't want to run into anyone I know when I'm looking rough. If I'm out for a run or something, I'll totally pretend not to notice and just walk by 💦 If possible, I'd appreciate it if you could just leave me be when it seems like the other person doesn't want to be noticed 🥹
