An apology is just the starting point, and regaining trust is a whole different story, right? I also get a bit annoyed by convenient thoughts that just want to ease one's own guilt ♩

Depending on the situation, but I often retort with the same proverb, 'Can't I just apologize?' I know they'll just repeat it if they think they can walk all over me, so it's all-out war.

Saying 'Isn't it bad?' at that point makes me think they're not reflecting at all 😢 And if you're going to say that, it should only be when the wronged party forgives, not when the one who did wrong says it~ 🤔

It doesn't make sense that refusing to accept an apology makes it seem like you're the one with the bad personality. It's especially frustrating when a third-party adult creates that kind of atmosphere (´-ω-`)
