Googling Playio's company profile suggests they do various things with user data for companies that distribute apps, so is this part of that? The design using coins and hearts... I understand they might be concerned about mass creation, but there seem to be better ways to handle it.

Considering the current AI and various other factors, I think things are sufficient as they are. Even a small amount of coins as a price feels heavy, even if it's just one. The gift function, which was a clearly small amount of 10 gems, was very meaningful as a way to convey feelings, but if they're going to make new elements essentially a paid feature, it'll be tough without a proper reward.
