It might be tough if you're in high school, but if you're a university student, let's work hard at your part-time job. When I was in university, I bought 3 computers for gaming. Back then, unlike now, there were various standards, and games were released for each standard. Buying a main unit and a display set for each cost around 200,000 to 500,000 yen. I also bought consoles, and when I think back, I'm surprised myself at how extravagantly I lived. Living at home and having my parents cover my academic expenses was a big factor, I think.

If it's just for drawing, a pen display or drawing tablet that connects to your smartphone might be good, as there are tons of options at all price points! Nowadays, people buy things like the Switch 2 for around 60,000 yen as birthday or Christmas presents for their kids, so if you persist, you might be able to get one 🤔? If they absolutely say no, then you'll just have to work part-time to get it 😭

It might be tough to get them to cover the full amount, but you might want to consider paying for a portion yourself and having them cover the rest.

I couldn't get expensive game consoles when I was a kid either... 😭 It might depend on your grade or school rules, but if you're in high school or older, I'd want to work part-time, and if you're in middle school or younger, I'd want to try point-earning activities!
