Trivia: Earth's day is getting longer bit by bit!?

Everyone, an Earth day is 24 hours, right? But actually, it was different back in the age of dinosaurs! The reason Earth's day length changes is due to tidal friction (friction from the oceans) caused by the Moon's gravity, which slows down Earth's rotation by about 1.7 milliseconds every 100 years. That's why, in the ancient era of dinosaurs, a day was about 23 hours long. Isn't that interesting?
