It's Cooking Time!
Last night, tuna blocks were half-price at the supermarket, so I cooked them up and made Tatsuta-yaki. I could have eaten it raw, but the oceanic aroma was a bit too direct, so I hesitated... Recipe Ingredients Tuna (about 200g), soy sauce and sake, potato starch Optional: Grated ginger, lemon Steps â Cut the tuna into bite-sized pieces. â¡ In a container or ziplock bag, combine soy sauce and sake in a 1:0.8-1 ratio. Add grated ginger to your liking and marinate for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. â» You can substitute dashi soy sauce, but please adjust the saltiness yourself. ⢠Take the marinated tuna out, lightly pat it dry with a paper towel, and coat it with potato starch. ⣠Fry in plenty of oil until golden brown. I prefer a firmer texture, so I cooked it over medium to slightly high heat. †Squeeze lemon over it to your liking, and it's done! It makes a great side dish for bento boxes too, why not give it a try?
