Tonight: Sweet and Savory Braised Chicken Wings, and Tomato & Mozzarella with Olive Oil. Should I call the chicken wings 'braised' or more like 'sweet and savory grilled'? 🤔 Since all tomatoes sink in water, they're basically fruits. *Fun fact: Tomatoes that float have higher sugar content.* Another simple meal tonight. Here's the recipe: Sear the chicken wings, skin-side down, in a frying pan. Once nicely browned, flip and sear all sides. When they're cooked to a good degree, add the [Pork Donburi Sauce]. Refer to Night 30, the Unagi Don episode, for the sauce recipe. 😊 Cover the pan, reduce heat to low, and shake occasionally. In the meantime, remove the stems from the tomatoes. Cut them in half and place in a small bowl. Tear the mozzarella cheese by hand and add it to the bowl. Stir the tomatoes and cheese together with chopsticks. Season the bowl with black pepper and salt. Plate the chicken wings, and it's done! For the tomatoes and mozzarella, drizzle olive oil just before eating. Starting with the tomatoes and mozzarella, Two chicken wings are enough for a bowl of rice! 😁 Another simple and satisfying meal tonight. 🤤 Planning to make tomato and egg stir-fry tomorrow. Leafy greens got expensive due to the long rain, but as the news said, tomatoes became a bit of a bargain! 😆
