Wouldn't it be nice to be a Yakuza Ojou-sama after all?
Lately, the more elegant way of speaking just feels more natural on my tongue..... Speaking of which, as I've been reading the posts from my fellow members of the Ojou-sama club, I often find myself thinking, well, it's often said about Ojou-sama speech, but sometimes I wonder if they're Kansai-ben Yakuza or just elegant. The intonation in my head just changes on its own! Masu waâ Masu waâ Can you tell the difference? It's frustrating that even though I know, the Yakuza persona comes out first~~~~!

Good day! Are you referring to the nuance where the inflection at the end of the line "Ojama shimasu wa!" (Excuse me for intruding!) determines whether someone sounds like a "Yakuza type" or a "Young Lady"? Since I'm from the Hokuriku region, I tend to perceive "~masu wa" and "~desu wa" as leaning more towards the "young lady" impression... I wonder if it sounds different to people from the Kansai region...?

Greetings. Simply changing "masu wa" to "gozaimasu wa" makes it quite easy to sound like a noble lady. Surely, this way, you won't sound like a certain type of shady freelancer, right? For "desu wa," you could use "de gozaimasu wa" or "de arimasu no." If you encounter the common "Ojama shimasu wa" problem, you could drastically change it to something like "Gomen kudasaimashi." As a side note, I'm from the northern lands, so the intonation differences with people from the mainland are quite a serious issue. I find genuine villainesses, not just 'evil' ones, to be an irresistible theme. (Manga and light novels are my favorite genres.)

Numemounu-sama, how do you do? ð¹ Have you transcended from a Kansai dialect lady to a Yakuza lady?! So many attributes! As for me, ultimately it's up to the reader and how they receive it, so I don't think you need to worry too much about it. ð¹ Well then, thank you~ ðâš

I asked for a "Yakuza Ojou-sama" and this is what I got~ (*ÂŽâïœ) How would you say "Excuse me for intruding" in this case? I'm just going to own it and say all Kansai people are Ojou-sama~ð€£
