A minister?
The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries made a wild statement and is getting flamed. He's a minister with that? Is he getting an outrageous salary for that? If I could get paid that much with that level of competence, I'd want to be a Diet member too!!

I get the impression that some members of the national diet often fall asleep during meetings. You see it on the news a lot. And then there are politicians who say they'll do this or that, but never actually do anything... It makes me think those guys have it easy.

Considering that half of Japan's ministers are Diet members and the rest can be ordinary citizens, it's even more infuriating that they don't even need to be elected.

There's a saying, 'A nation gets the government it deserves.' Dangerous ministers reflect a certain portion of the populace. Take them as a cautionary tale and don't emulate them.

It pains me to see the leader of a nation in such a state. The responsibility of leadership is heavy, but perhaps some cannot bear its weight.
