Man's Cooking - Night 37
Today, I surprisingly didn't feel like having rice. *Rare for me, since I usually eat a lot of rice.* So, I decided to use up some smoked salmon that was nearing its expiration date. Tonight, I voluntarily made pasta! ð Let's call it Japanese-style oil pasta with mushrooms and seafood. I don't know if I'll make it again, but the combination wasn't bad. Here's tonight's recipe: Warm a frying pan with olive oil and garlic. Once fragrant, add shrimp, shimeji mushrooms, and wood ear mushrooms. Drain the boiled pasta slightly and add it to the pan. Add a little pasta water, white dashi (Japanese soup stock), and butter. Mix everything together and plate it. Scatter smoked salmon on top. Make a small well in the center and drop in an egg yolk. Shrimp were frozen, wood ear mushrooms were dried, and the salmon was vacuum-packed. Shimeji mushrooms were about the only fresh ingredient! ð Soy sauce would probably have worked well too. It might also be good with some grated cheese if you have it. Anyway, I scarfed down 200g of pasta in one go! ð I fell asleep after writing this far...
