I miss you
We had plans to grab dinner together on Friday night. Around noon today, I got a call from her school saying her child had a fever. Apparently, a kid she was playing with had the flu, and they think she might have caught it too. I know it can't be helped. But still, I feel lonely. I wonder when we can meet next.

It's really sad when a long-awaited plan falls through, isn't it? While your child's health is the top priority, it's okay to cherish your own feelings too. Once things settle down, a day will surely come when you can meet again with a smile.
