Even if it doesn't reach the birthday person directly, I think it's precious just to have it carried by the sender's celebratory feelings, or even if not, just the feeling of celebration itself is precious. It reminded me a little of Yumi Matsutoya's song 'Mahou no Kagami' (Magic Mirror).
