『Otherworldly System』 Nagura Arc

The protagonist gains the ability to enter the novels they write. They set out to rewrite the story and save both you and the world! Or so they thought...? A meta-SF mystery that won the Mephisto Prize. A bizarre masterpiece that establishes a new "Otherworldly System" by layering meta upon meta, and connecting/deconstructing the "isekai" and "narou-kei" (web novel) genres. The story is full of twists and turns, far beyond just a couple of reversals, with its tricky structure involving challenges to the otherworld and the author. The Kansai dialect used in the narration is also a strong point, making it quite unique! I absolutely love meta-genre works like this, and this one was 120% meta, which made it the best! I love how the meta-SF setting, the narou-kei writing style, and the chapter structure all converge on the relationship between the characters and the author. This is love for creative works. It might not be for everyone, but if you're familiar with narou-kei or the general concept, I think you'll enjoy it! Highly recommended!
