But... why am I stuck on stage 78 for hours after 77-5? It feels like they intentionally made it this way so we can't get the pre-cash reward... It's already been going since 3 AM and still ongoing... Anyone cleared stage 78?

It's more fun than I expected, and clearing quests is quite satisfying. It's not too difficult, and the support makes it manageable.
