A Year-End Med Student's Life

This drama depicts the process of four first-year residents assigned to the OB/GYN department at Yulje Hospital in Jongno, who, while struggling with unfamiliar hospital life, the harshness of their seniors, and excessive workload, gradually get to know each other. They learn the sense of duty as doctors while facing the cycle of life and death of patients, with the addition of strong camaraderie among peers and subtle romantic sparks. The story concludes with the first-year residents maturing as they begin their second year. I really felt like they were real peers while watching, as the chemistry between Go Youn-jung, Shin Si-a, Kang You-seok, and Han Ye-ji was so natural. I also liked how the hospital setting wasn't depicted solely as a heavy place, but was balanced with the growth stories of young adults and gentle humor. This is a work I highly recommend if you enjoy youth medical dramas or if you liked 'Hospital Playlist'.
