I was playing endless mode with the Officer's 1st skill equipped and got the ricochet buff, but it feels like enemies aren't hitting as well as before. I thought it was just my imagination, but the bullets are actually bouncing off walls and flying off in weird directions.

I've managed to stack up to 3314 with the 'End of the Void' + 'Fracture' + 'Skill Cooldown Halved' challenge.

Try using Elemental Guardian with Sweet Talk together. The DPS is insane.

For the early game, I recommend the Rogue and the first Mech. In the early stages, enemies have low HP and damage, and more importantly, their movement speed is fast, making it easy to grab test rewards and treasure chests. Also, the Mech's ultimate skill has a mechanic that applies an enhanced curse to deal high damage, so its damage output is decent. The downside is its low HP... Of course, you can invest in HP regeneration or max HP upgrades, but it lowers your damage, so it's better to go for other ability enhancements. (If you're confident in your movement, it's recommended for the late game too! You won't get screwed over during tests.) For the late game, I recommend the Wolf and the third Mech. As the difficulty increases, enemies have higher HP and deal more damage. If you choose the third Mech and invest in max HP upgrades, you can achieve both stability and damage. Also, with the Wolf's max HP increase skill and the Mech's shield skill, you're unlikely to die, and it becomes a game where you can deal high damage and just enjoy playing. (However! Movement speed is a bit low.) For reference, the fourth Mech requires purchasing the paid pass, so if you're a free-to-play player, I recommend combining them like this!
