Guide #4: Vocal Tuning Basics (feat. Voicemelo)

Teto https://kasaneteto.jp/utau/ Gekiyaku https://kurukuru2suuzi.wixsite.com/kuzutokaze/utau Please note that due to the 500-character limit, the tuning section has been created as a separate card news format. Thank you for your understanding.🙇‍♂️ To add a little more explanation that might not be clear just from the images: if you click on the track in the second image, you can enter the track. Then, by clicking the 1/4 in the upper left corner, you can set the standard for dividing notes. What programs or apps do you all use for vocal tuning? It would be great if you could share your experiences by commenting with the programs or apps you use for tuning. The guide will conclude with adding harmonies and the final tuned voice to finish up. I would be grateful if you all, not just me, would also write posts about vocal tuning.☺️

Guide #3 Before Vocaloid Production (Lyrics?)

In the previous guide, I explained about score creation? and composition?, and now I'll briefly write about lyric writing?, which is important for Vocaloid production, based on what I know. (I'm also a beginner, so it's difficult to explain in detail 🥲) When creating an original song, people usually go with either composing first then writing lyrics, or writing lyrics first then composing. I usually go with the former. Using the score from the previous guide example, if I were to add lyrics, I would create a guideline beforehand by referencing the melody. This is because I'm still a beginner ㅎㅎ...😅 Then, I create the lyrics. (The lyrics are also an example.) The reason the lyrics are in Japanese is because the language for Vocaloid production is Japanese 😁 Once the lyrics are done, I transcribe them into Hiragana and, referencing the guideline I created earlier, adjust the lyrics to fit the guideline. Finally, to check if the notes and lyrics match well, I go to the app introduced in #1, enter the lyrics, and do a final check. Then, the preparation for Vocaloid production is complete. Thank you 👍 The next guide will be about Vocaloid production 😊

Guide #2 Before Assisting (Composing?)

If you previously used a sheet music app to set guidelines, this time it's about creating a song. If you're just assisting with an existing song, you only need to find the instrumental and assist, so you can actually skip the previous content and this part... But if you want to create your own song, meaning you want to compose your own original music, then you should know this, which is why I'm writing this guide. The composing app I'm using is called BandLab. I implement the guidelines I set in the sheet music app within BandLab. Currently, I've set the melody with the piano, the root notes (or not) with the bass guitar, and added drums. But one thing is missing... chords. That's the part I find most difficult... 😢 As for chords... I'll add them later. It's difficult 😭 I'll leave it unfinished for now and write the next guide tomorrow if I have time. I'll probably write about lyrics tomorrow. Good night everyone ☺️

Guide #1 Before Starting as an Assistant (Sheet Music Production)

I haven't been an assistant for very long. I realized that future assistants might need a guide to get started, so I decided to write down the basic guide I use. First, I usually set the guideline using an app called Flant. To use it, as shown in the picture above, you download the app, create a sheet music, name it, select the instrument (usually piano), choose the tempo and key signature, and then create the song's guide by placing notes on the piano keys below. (I don't actually work like this exclusively; this is just an example.) Normally, the standard method is to decide on the harmony first and then create the melody, but I only know the basics of music theory, so my ability to create harmonies is lacking...😢 That's why I tend to create the melody and the root note(?) first to set the guide. (Actually, it's not the root note; I just place notes that sound good to my ear...😭) What sheet music apps are you all using? I hope we can share and find even better apps together.
