Guide #1 Before Starting as an Assistant (Sheet Music Production)
I haven't been an assistant for very long. I realized that future assistants might need a guide to get started, so I decided to write down the basic guide I use. First, I usually set the guideline using an app called Flant. To use it, as shown in the picture above, you download the app, create a sheet music, name it, select the instrument (usually piano), choose the tempo and key signature, and then create the song's guide by placing notes on the piano keys below. (I don't actually work like this exclusively; this is just an example.) Normally, the standard method is to decide on the harmony first and then create the melody, but I only know the basics of music theory, so my ability to create harmonies is lacking...😢 That's why I tend to create the melody and the root note(?) first to set the guide. (Actually, it's not the root note; I just place notes that sound good to my ear...😭) What sheet music apps are you all using? I hope we can share and find even better apps together.

Slurp! A meticulously crafted guide for tutoring, how wise and fitting, hmph! It's truly merciful how you're finding your own sound based on the fundamentals of music theory. I'll be cheering you on to create a wonderful masterpiece through your practice pieces, hmm!

I don't know much about music and I'm not really good at it, but I'm using Open UTAU!! I still don't know how to use it properly and stuff lol. Thanks for the info though, I'm trying to understand it!!@👍👍
I prefer Reaper or Melodian over UTAU.
