Oceano Campground

I used to go camping a lot when I was young, and this seems to be the best facility. It's located right in front of the sea, so the scenery is great and you can enjoy the beach. The space is spacious and well-maintained, making for a pleasant camping experience!!

Chiaksan National Park

Visited Chiaksan National Park for Chuseok. Perhaps because it rained, I saw several frogs. It seemed like the sun was about to set soon, so I couldn't go too far and only went to a place called Seryeom Falls. However, it was more like a stream than a waterfall, which was a bit disappointing. I heard the trail gets significantly steeper from Seryeom Falls to the summit, Birobong. I'd like to challenge myself to do it if I get the chance.

Lima

Revisiting Lima after 3 years for a business trip. Unlike last time, I had time to explore the city this time. The historic old town with the Presidential Palace and City Hall, The Inca Market, full of souvenirs like alpaca wool dolls and scarves, And the Park of Love, visited at sunset. It was a delightful time spent with the cool, refreshing breeze. Will I ever get to return to the distant continent of South America?

Tokyo Skytree

I guess because it's the tallest tower in Japan, you can see it the whole time while walking around Asakusa.

Asakusa, Tokyo

This is in front of the Bandai headquarters, famous for its toys. My hotel was nearby, so I passed by a lot. They decorated the front of the building with their own characters.

Iguazu Falls in Brazil and a Chunk of Cocaine..

My South America travel log... Since I already messed up the timeline, I'm just posting my travel review in the order I downloaded the photos.. After crossing from Argentina to Brazil and staying at my Colombian friend's place in Sao Paulo.. I went solo to Iguazu Falls. I thought, 'Since I'm in Brazil, I have to see Iguazu Falls at least once in my life..?' So I took a 10-hour bus ride to get there.. Moving through the stairs, I saw Iguazu Falls far away between the trees.. Honestly, it was so loud I thought I had arrived, but it turned out to be quite a long way.. I remember it wasn't as clean as I expected, kind of yellowish..? But it was incredibly majestic.. The size and sound were overwhelming.. Then, I passed out in the back seat of the bus on the way back to Sao Paulo.. The bus stopped near Sao Paulo.. And the police stormed in.. Turns out they have strict checks to prevent drug smuggling.. And sure enough, They found a chunk of drugs in the restroom and were beating up the culprit sitting right next to it.. Took a commemorative photo with the police...

San Telmo Street Market in Argentina

Following up on the flea market in Colombia last time, here's the San Telmo street market in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina... After crossing the border from Chile and arriving in a town, we drove for quite a while to get to Buenos Aires... As luck would have it, while wandering around, we coincidentally arrived at the famous San Telmo street market. Come to think of it, my travels seem to be all over the place..? Like in Peru... I'll talk about that later.. Anyway.. I remember it being incredibly crowded with lots of things to see.. They sold all sorts of odds and ends.. there were even woodblock prints with Korean writing on them.. There were also many strange little ceramic pots for Argentinians' beloved mate tea, enough to trigger trypophobia.. As expected from the land of tango, there were many tango dance performances, but I can't seem to find the photos.. South America surprisingly has a lot of these markets.. A common trait is that there's a lot to see, but not much to buy.. But when you go to places like this, it's important to always be careful with your wallet and phone.. If you dress up like a tourist, you'll immediately become a target for pickpockets.. A memory of pickpocketing.

Usaquén Flea Market in Bogotá, the Capital of Colombia

Back when I was living in South America 10 years ago, I had a hobby of wandering around aimlessly on weekends.. A friend recommended a place called Usaquén, saying it had a flea market selling handicrafts, so I went there once.. I think it was held every other week.. Since it was a place where many people gathered, there were food trucks, performances on the way, and lots of other things to see. There were police officers stationed in various places, so it was a surprisingly safe area.. On the day I took photos, I might have arrived a bit early because many places seemed to be still setting up. Mate tea is very famous in Argentina, and they sold that kind of tea too.. I remember they sold a lot of really useless trinkets.. As I was leisurely browsing, the ladies would make a fuss, urging me to take a look... Actually, they probably thought I was a tourist and tried to overcharge me, but when I responded entirely in Spanish, they looked a bit embarrassed.. I should look for photos of famous markets in Argentina next.. I wonder if I'll ever get to go to South America again, since it's so far away..?
