Brawl Stars just released a new character, right? How should I use them? If you know how, please tell me.

Using a Cosmo Ticket... Random queue... picking Cosmo without even knowing how to use it and then just blindly charging in... Even if it's not Cosmo, why, why, WHY do people do that... I feel like the ticket is being wasted... why is it always people like that on my team...
