Honestly, the game is dying due to lack of new players, so I can't recommend starting it now.

As I've been leveling up an alt account late, I've realized.. All PvE content requires you to get carried by high-power players. The fun part of learning and clearing patterns yourself is long gone. For guild content, all you can do is mine endlessly. It's like embodying a SCV from StarCraft. Since your combat power is too low, you obviously can't fight.. Furthermore, if your crafting job isn't Artisan, you'll consume an item called "Star Crystal Ore Pickaxe", so you'll have to beg other Artisans for a Star Crystal Pickaxe. If you're still going to start, choose Artisan as your crafting job. Even if you can't fight, at least you'll have more options during expedition content.
