Will Artificial Intelligence lead to the end of humanity?

Some AI developers are resigning, saying that humans will soon lose control over AI, and there's a possibility it could lead to the extinction of humanity in the future. I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts on this.

Rather than humanity being wiped out by AI, I think it's more likely that humans will end up destroying themselves.

The development purpose of AI is to 'benefit human life,' so I don't think AI would try to destroy humanity! However, if it's trained for combat, it might end up killing friendly forces?

I think humanity declines when civilization advances too much and we forget our inherent human values. As AI develops, there are certainly advantages, but if we get too caught up in efficiency, the 'hurry hurry' mentality, and excessive individualism, we'll forget human dignity. Then, I think we'll gradually protect humans less and eventually perish. Just look at the unemployment rate...

If we look beyond the immediate 1-2 years to 10 or 20 years from now, how will humanity be living?? I don't even know what will happen next week, but just as we find answers to daily situations, I believe our future children will control things and overcome challenges, especially if it's about the virtual AI on the internet or AR, not physical robots, by preventing extinction as a last resort. Therefore, I believe it will contribute to our future development and help. Even if we're wrong, we'll create the future and our next world through verification via cross-checking. Just like discovering fire, creating electricity, and building the internet, we should support AI to create a better future! 😆 😆 😆 😆
