Is it okay to lie for happiness?

You seem to be struggling between genuine pain and false peace. While silence can sometimes be a form of consideration, don't you think courage is needed to share the truth if we're walking this path together in the end?

I can understand not speaking up, but I don't think lying is very advisable. When you lie, you end up taking responsibility for what that person should have to take responsibility for after they find out the truth.

There's no guarantee that the lie will never be found out. Then, the other person becomes unhappy and loses people too. If I were in that situation, I think I'd choose silence, but if it's a choice between lying or telling the truth, I'd tell the truth.

In my personal opinion, 'lies' refer to words that are untrue. Many situations happen in daily life, but we often use untrue words starting from very simple and trivial things. Like 'I'm definitely not going to eat dinner today!' or 'I'll just watch this and then study!' We often use untrue words for things with small responsibilities, even to ourselves, without any guilt. And then, we can think of various other things, such as those with greater responsibilities, or severe untruths that cause not only mental and material damage to others but also endanger their lives. Also, when we look at the results of untruthful words, sometimes things can turn out well because of a lie, and other times much worse situations can arise. (I want to delve deeper into the emotions, but the comment is getting too longㅠ) So, I hope the very bad situations never happen, and for other untruthful words, it seems like people proceed in their own style. Aside from malicious people, aren't most people telling lies hoping for a good outcome? I think it's best to tell 'white lies' to those who can understand it.
