Otoyomegatari (Bride's Story)
This is "Otoyomegatari" (Bride's Story) by Kaoru Mori, depicting the stories of various tribes in 19th-century Central Asia along the Silk Road and the brides who married into those communities. The story unfolds by following the journey of a foreign scholar, 'Henry Smith,' allowing the episodes to shift and expand, showcasing diverse aspects. Its most significant feature is the overwhelming art quality, close to that of a master craftsman, by Kaoru Mori. The traditional Central Asian clothing, carpet patterns, accessories, and woodwork are meticulously drawn with pen lines, creating an awe-inspiring effect. Serialization began in 2008 and is currently on hiatus. This work, which won the Grand Prize at the Japan Media Arts Festival in 2014, tells its story calmly and warmly without being sensational, making it a manga that can be enjoyed without feeling burdened.

I heard they hand-draw each pattern. The content is also fun.
