[Review] Fruits Basket

Kyo is on the back cover of volume 2. As the true main protagonist, he wouldn't be absent. Tohru Honda, the protagonist, loses her father at a young age and her mother in high school. With nowhere to go, Tohru is sent to live with a relative, but because their house is undergoing expansion work, she is forced out and knowing her friends' situations, she ends up living in a tent in the mountains. While camping in the mountains, Tohru is discovered by her classmate, Yuki Soma. Pitying her situation, Shigure Soma invites her to live with them. Then one day, a man breaks through the ceiling of their house. He provokes Yuki Soma, and Tohru, rushing to stop him, slips and ends up hugging him. Suddenly, he transforms into a cat... The 2001 anime is a masterpiece and well worth watching. The remake version came out in 2019 and covers the entire story up to the manga's conclusion. Kyo is the best!
