Happy Chuseok!

Heading to Sokcho, where my maternal grandparents live, for the Chuseok holiday! 🚗 Since the highway is usually jammed, we tend to exit midway and take National Route 44 (Seorak-ro). After passing through the Cheoljeong Tunnel on the national road, we made a quick stop at 'Hwayanggang Rest Area' around 8:30 AM. As expected from its reputation as a great spot for Hongcheongang River views, it was already packed with people, and the parking lot was full of cars. ✨ Unfortunately, we gave up on eating udon at the restaurant, but we bought some nicely grilled corn and chicken skewers from the outdoor snack bar instead. We enjoyed them in the car while admiring the beautiful scenery of the Hongcheongang River. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Chuseok holiday! 😊
