This Year's AOTY? Part 1 (Please Read..)

AOTY stands for Album of the Year, meaning the best album of that year. Here, it would refer to the best Korean hip-hop album of 2026, right? Let's take a quick look at the most likely AOTY candidates. "Infinite Me" Banta01, MPT - Areum8 One-liner: A near-perfect experimental hip-hop collaboration album that received 4.5 stars from Rhythmer after 3 years. "A Structure Built with Strong Will" Banta01 - OGI-PATTERN One-liner: An album that feels like stepping into the artist's unique world. "My Obsession, My Stubbornness, My... Kim Simya - Dogma " One-liner: The highest Pitchfork score for Korean hip-hop (7.7 points), an album where you can feel the highest level of rap in Korea. (My opinion) "Girls Don't Cry Pop Is Cryin' " BewhY - POP IS CRYIN' One-liner: An album where he expresses his narrative as a god and through hip-hop. I'll make Part 2 as well.
