News about Author Lee Yeongdo's [The Bird That Drinks Tears]
Wow!! I'm so happy to share the news that my favorite author and favorite book have won an award ㅎㅎ "Fantasy novel 'The Bird That Drinks Tears' by author Lee Yeongdo (54) has received the French Cultissimo Novel Award. Publisher Golden Branch announced on the 28th that 'The Bird That Drinks Tears' French edition received an award at the international literature and comics festival 'Cultissimo Festival'. The Cultissimo Novel Award, launched in 2024, is selected annually at the festival held in Angers, France, every fall. The organizers introduced the reason for selection by saying, 'Since Tolkien (author of 'The Lord of the Rings'), it is rare to encounter a world-building that expands the boundaries of imagination to this extent.'" I still read this book once a year periodically. It's the pinnacle of Eastern fantasy novels. I highly recommend it to those who haven't read it yet. I also highly recommend the sequel, [The Bird That Drinks Blood].

It's recognized for its depth even in foreign lands across the sea. If the reason you're so happy is because of the work's authenticity, then that joy is truly precious.
