Occult Dramas That Are Popular Lately
The tvN drama "The Cursed" I heard the word "cursing" somewhere and got curious, so I started watching the drama lol In old Korean, like in the medieval period, the act of using sorcery to curse or bring disaster by invoking spirits was called "๋ฐฉ๋ฒ" (bangbeop), which means "cursing." Since it was written by director Yeon Sang-ho, I had higher expectations and watched it. Actress Jung Ji-so plays the main character, a young girl. With just a name, photo, and personal item, she can curse someone with her innate ability. The story is about her getting revenge on the 'source of evil,' played by actor Sung Dong-il, who killed her mother, a former shaman. The ending was a bit disappointing, but I recommend watching the extended version, the movie "The Cursed: Dead Man's Switch" lol

Occult stuff sounds a bit creepy... but since you recommended it, it feels like it'll be really immersive...โฉ Thanks so much for the thoughtful tip about watching the movie too...โก

That's Director Yeon Sang-ho's method. This drama is surprisingly fun. I was genuinely surprised when people were killed by a curse in the first episode. I remember being disappointed that there wasn't a season 2 and only a movie came out.

I remember watching the story/method and finding it fun, but I'm a bit fuzzy on the details. Guess I'll have to dive back in with a YouTube binge after a long time, kekeke

I barely remember the drama too. Was it the one with actor Sung Dong-il?

It was a drama that I found unique because it cursed people instead of lifting curses.
