Boss (2025)

The movie "Boss," released in 2025, is a comedy-action film directed by Ra Hee-chan, starring actors Jo Woo-jin, Jung Kyung-ho, Park Ji-hwan, and Lee Kyu-hyung. After the boss of an organization dies, instead of fighting for power, the potential successors fiercely yield to each other to protect their own dreams, making it a comedy film. Usually, people fight to become the boss, but in this movie, situations like "You do it" and "I absolutely refuse" unfold. And yet, the actors are so serious in these situations... I enjoyed the humor that comes from their seriousness. While the comedic payoff might be a bit lacking for a comedy film, and it might be slightly disappointing if you're expecting a huge twist or deep lingering thoughts, the fun of appreciating the actors' comedic performances made it enjoyable from my perspective. Rather than sophisticated humor, "Boss" is a time-killing movie that's good to watch comfortably without overthinking.
