Sogeum

The sogeum (小笒) is the smallest transverse flute among the traditional Korean wind instruments daegeum, junggeum, and sogeum. It is characterized by its clear and pure tone, and it plays beautiful melodies in both traditional Korean ensemble and solo performances. Here, 'sogeum' refers to the traditional instrument, not the salt (鹽) used in food.
