Story of Yanxi Palace (2018)

Highly recommend this to those who enjoy palace intrigue dramas haha I think quite a few people have probably seen it lol Set during the Qianlong Emperor's reign in the Qing Dynasty, it's a story about Wei Yingluo (Wu Jinyan) entering the Forbidden City to uncover the truth behind her sister's death, becoming a palace maid, overcoming various hardships within the palace, and eventually becoming an Imperial Consort who contributes to the prosperous Qianlong era. It also features quite comical situations, and I found myself chuckling at the scenes where the Qianlong Emperor is completely at Wei Yingluo's mercy ㅋㅋ You can also see a young Xu Kai in his early 20s ㅋㅋ Every time I watch Qing Dynasty dramas... the hairstyles.. haha I heard the actors shaved their heads to film that ㅜㅜ They must be amazing people 🤔 It's available to watch on TVING, Wavve, and Watcha.
