Can you believe this animal is currently the apex predator in South Korea's forests? ๐
This animal that looks incredibly cute is a marten ๐ In Korea, there are species like the Yellow-throated Marten and the Black Martenโผ๏ธ But, this cute animal... has become the apex predator in Korea, following the eagle owls and golden eagles, after medium-to-large carnivores disappeared!!! ๐ฑ๐ฑ There's an old Korean proverb about martens eating tigers, showing how fearsome they are ๐ฐ Also, martens only prey on hornets, which are natural enemies of honeybees, so beekeepers apparently love them ๐๐ They completely destroy hornet nestsใ ใ ใ Following hornets!! They are also killers of wild boar piglets that harm farms!!! Even though they are loved by people like this!! They are extremely wary of humans and avoid them, so there have been 0 cases of them attacking peopleโผ๏ธ Can you believe this cute animalใ ใ is the apex predator now that tigers are gone? ๐คฃ๐คฃ

It's really surprising that such strength is hidden behind such a cute face. A guardian of the forest that can handle hornets and wild boars sounds fascinating.
