Has anyone ever had a splinter stuck in their finger?

How long did it take for you to get it out? My husband tried to remove what seemed like a splinter with a needle but failed.. Finally went to the dermatologist and found out... it wasn't in that spot but underneath itㅠ So they removed the splinter.. But... even after removing it, it still hurt, and when I looked... It looks like there's still a splinter... in the spot my husband tried to remove it with a needle earlierㅠ I have to keep working until tomorrow.. Did everyone else get theirs out quickly? Has anyone experienced having a splinter stuck for over a week like me?ㅠ
