[Review] Death Note
A masterpiece manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. It's considered a profound work, often appearing in social studies textbooks, with ample room for interpretation regarding its social, human, and political implications. The story begins when Light Yagami, an ordinary high school student, obtains a Death Note dropped by a Shinigami. Light starts using the Death Note to punish criminals, and the police enlist the help of L to investigate these deaths. The battle of wits between Light and L, each pursuing their own sense of justice, continues, and L begins to suspect Light is Kira, the owner of the Death Note... It's still an incredible masterpiece even when viewed today. A work that truly highlights the brilliant mind games between Light and L. Honestly, I didn't watch it after L died back then... I re-watched it all later. If Kira had been active in an era with the internet developed like today, Kira might have remained Kira forever without ever being caught. Personally, I'd love to have a Death Note too.
