Next, player damage literally increases your character's damage, and it can also increase the torpor applied to dinosaurs. I usually set it between 2 and 3. I've tried 4 and 5, but it felt like too much of a balance breaker, so 2 or 3 felt the best. Player defense increases your character's defense, but you need to lower the number instead of raising it for defense to increase. So, if you set defense to 0, you become invincible and won't take damage except from things like lava or status effects (cold, heat). I usually set it to 1, or 0.5 when things get tough, but I think it's best not to mess with it too much.
